I feel tied to this specific part of the world. I feel responsible for it’s well being. I feel the need to check in and spend time with it every so often. The more removed I become from it, the more concerned I am with the health of this environment. Where we come from is inevitably linked to our entire experience. I believe that my relationship to the natural world is so present in my life because of the relationship I developed with the landscape I grew up with.
